Tips for a long-lasting Full Hand Mehndi

Mehndi, often known as henna, is a lovely kind of body art that has been popular in many cultures around the world for millennia. Full hand mehndi, which covers the entire hand in elaborate patterns and motifs, is a popular type of mehndi design. Following these after-care steps will help your entire hand mehndi design endure as long as possible.

Post-care instructions

It’s crucial to wait for the mehndi to dry completely after application. While the design is drying, you should avoid touching it. After the mehndi has dried, you can remove the dried paste by scraping it off with a spoon or other dull item. You shouldn’t wash your hands right after removing the paste, as this can reduce the design’s durability. Ideally, you should wait at least 12 hours before washing your hands.

Avoid water and other liquids for the first 24-48 hours

For the first 24 to 48 hours after applying mehndi, you should stay out of the water and other liquids. Doing anything that necessitates the use of water falls under this category. If you get any water on your mehndi, the design may smear or fade. If you need to do something that will get your hands wet after getting mehndi, you can protect it by using gloves or wrapping them with plastic wrap.

Apply oil or lemon-sugar to prolong Mehndi’s colour and durability

After the mehndi design has dried, use oil and lemon-sugar to enhance its colour and longevity. This mixture moisturises and colours mehndi. Mix equal parts lemon juice and sugar with a few drops of essential oil like eucalyptus or lavender. Gently apply the mixture on the mehndi design with a cotton ball or soft towel and allow it on for at least 4-5 hours before washing it off.
